About Us
Leeman Primary School is situated in the coastal town of Leeman, within the Shire of Coorow. The school is located 153 km from Geraldton and 261 km from Perth. Our students come from the welcoming seaside communities of Leeman and Green Head. While both towns were originally established around the lobster fishing industry, which, although still an industry here, is now part of a more diverse local economy that includes a range of businesses and industries in the towns and surrounding rural areas.
Our small school setting supports a nurturing environment for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. We have dedicated and experienced staff who provide high quality education that is innovative, engaging, and inclusive. We pride ourselves on offering a broad and balanced curriculum with a strong focus on Literacy, Numeracy, Science, The Arts, Health, Sport, Japanese and Digital Technologies. Our students are divided into two classes, K-2 and 3-6.
Our learning spaces are well-equipped and feature a wide range of digital tools, including laptops, iPads, interactive televisions, and other devices that support learning across the curriculum. Students also benefit from extensive outdoor areas, which include playgrounds, active play spaces that promote physical development and social interaction, as well as a fully enclosed undercover area.
At Leeman Primary School, we value strong partnerships with our families and the wider community. Together, we work to create an environment where children thrive both academically and personally. We have enthusiastic and hard-working P&C and School Board members who are extremely supportive and incessantly work hard for our school and our students.
